I’m Emily Lopez, a Licensed Mental Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Connecticut as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor with a rich background in mental health and therapeutic services. With a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Alfred University and extensive experience across various settings, I am dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate their unique challenges and achieve meaningful personal growth.

 

​As the owner of Emily Lopez LLC, I provide individual and couples therapy via telehealth, adhering to the highest standards in medical billing and continually expanding my expertise through training in trauma-informed care and telehealth ethics. I aim to create a supportive, empathetic environment where clients feel understood and empowered. My professional journey has taken me through diverse roles, from being a Mental Health Therapist with Betterhelp, where I supported a range of clients including teens, LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma survivors, as well as people wanting to improve their day to day life.​

 

Previously, I managed residential programs and provided intensive therapy in both inpatient and community settings, including positions at the Achievement Center and Perception Programs. My work has consistently focused on implementing effective treatment modalities such as ACT, DBT, CBT, and EMDR, and I have developed specialized programs to support diverse populations and address complex needs.​

 

I bring a collaborative and holistic approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by my broad experience in various therapeutic settings. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy reading, meditation, and spending time with my very active toddler, which helps me maintain balance and perspective.​I am here to support you in your journey toward healing and self-discovery.
